Don't sell your old clothes...
Introduction: As we all know that we have old clothes in our home in the end of every year so what is the use of that old clothes. Do we really use it by selling it or we are doing something acceptable to God and society. Here it is not like that we are forcing some one to don't sell their clothes at all but we are here to discuss that what is the best we can do as a christian's in the society. We know Jesus loves us so if we loved by Jesus then we need to distribute that love to others.
What God, Jesus and Bible say about compassion: Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long suffering; Its very needed if we are in Jesus we should be kind for others, Christianity means not only walking with Jesus but it also means to help others with a kind heart. Peoples are dying without clothes, shivering in outside. We are living in luxuries, spending in air condition air. Eating and throwing food to garbage and people are dying outside, neighbor are sleeping without food, peoples who have no home, no food to eat, no shelter, no relationship with any body. So if we are in luxury and people are without food and water, then what is the use of our christian name, its all useless in front of Lord Jesus. Matthew 20: 34 So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him. If our Father Lord Jesus can keep compassion, then how much its important for us to keep compassion inside of our heart. Mathew 14: 14 And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude ; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick. This is the time to learn something about Jesus that our God Jesus is loving and kind God and if we are following Him then we also need to be a kind man and woman. How much Jesus will happy when He see His beloved peoples following His footprints. Mark 6:34 And Jesus, when he came out saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things. We also need to do the same thing like Jesus when we see others are not in good condition, we should go to help them, whatever we can do we need to do. These are only few verse showing the compassion of Jesus to others. Luke 6:38 Give and it will be given to u. When we give we also receive, how we receive? When we give we receive it back more and more from God directly and we can't deny this fact. So nurture the habit to give others specially clothes and food.
Methods to dispense the clothes, foods or money to needy: Kindly check the clothes which are not interested to family members or they do not want to wear it, check its button are good, check if it is teared then stitch it and keep it separate closet. You can see after six month and after 12 month many clothes accumulated there, you can directly reach people to give them in road side or outside. We can also take all clothes to church with other church members and if the whole church brings their old clothes then its very best to donate it to any organisation after a successful decision taken by the church authority. In matter of foods, we can also give directly to any body who are needy and hungry or in a group we can go to some slum area and donate it. Take this all as a church picnic always with thanking heart to God. Give money to poor outside, its best to donate some one directly and not allow any middle party. Give and it will given unto you. So this is best of us to nurture the habit to give others, its not show off but its Biblical. God bless you all...
